How AIDOTA2 works
AIDOTA2 is an AI coach for Dota 2. It reviews the match replay rather than summary stats: what happened to your hero and around it in each important part of the game.
Match review from the replay
The service downloads the match replay and reads it with its own parser. That shows hero positions, mana, purchases, kills and fights over time, not just final numbers.
Key moments are picked from these events: deaths, laning, items and builds, fights, objectives, draft. The AI explains each moment with its match minute, marks mistakes and good decisions, then writes a summary and gives a grade from S to D.
AI coach
The coach uses the player's finished reviews to build a plan: up to three specific tips for the next games, with evidence from matches. After the next game it returns to the tip and checks whether it worked.
Progress is shown on a skill radar, and long-term memory lets it compare a new game with your past matches.
Where the data comes from
Match reviews are built only from the replay and our own parser. The match list comes from Steam; general profile stats and hero meta come from open Steam and OpenDota data.

FAQ
- Is it a chatbot?
- No. The result is a finished review of a specific match: timed moments, a summary, a grade and a coaching plan. You don't need to ask anything in a chat.
- Does AIDOTA2 see events inside the match?
- Yes. Reviews are built from the replay, so the service uses in-game events: deaths, fights, purchases, hero positions.
- Do I need public match history?
- Yes, so the service can see your new games: with private history Steam doesn't return the match list. Enable it in Dota 2: Settings → Community → "Expose Public Match Data".
- Can any old match be reviewed?
- Only while its replay is available. If the replay has been removed from Valve's servers and no review exists yet, a full review isn't possible.
- Is the review free?
- Yes, within the limit: 1 review per 48 hours anonymously and 2 after Steam sign-in. A subscription removes the limit.
